Columbiana County
Columbiana County is near ground zero for Ohio’s Utica shale oil and gas industry. Located at the northernmost point of the Ohio River in the U.S., Columbiana County borders both PA and WV. We have an excellent transportation infrastructure (highway, rail and water) and ready-to-go industrial sites.
Columbiana County is served by two class one rail lines (NS and CSX) and the regional railroad, Youngstown and Southeastern. Four-lane State Routes 7 and 11 provide interstate access to the north (I-76/80) and to the south (I-70), with US 30 providing a direct east-west route from Pittsburgh to Canton. There are 13 cargo terminals on the Ohio River, including the Port Authority’s new state of the art Wellsville Intermodal Facility (rail, truck and barge).
The Columbiana County Port Authority can serve as your one stop shop for doing business in Columbiana County and we can also help with regional referrals. The Port Authority has significant transnational experience and the reputation for making projects happen.
